jayay20 replied: "Of course talk with your doctor... but just so you know... My doctor told me no way... and I have pretty bad acne... and I teach high schoolers... even worse... I invested in some good make-up that doesn't dry out my face to cover up the acne (the mineral line from MAC) After the 1st trimester it is now okay for me to dab a tiny bit of 2.5% on each pimple. Good luck.. hopefully you can find a product that works if not... go visit the MAC counter... you can tell them that I sent you :)"

Anyone had success using ONLY a NON-medicated cleanser and nothing else to clear moderate to severe acne? Non-medicated-- meaning not containing salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, triclosan or any other medication. Any one had success using ONLY a cleanser OR ONLY a cleanser and toner to clear acne. What did you use? How did you use it (regimen)?

Maria replied: "I don't know what kind of acne you have, but my face clears up and stays clear when I wash my face before bed and every morning. I use Bioelements decongestant cleanser twicw per day. Also, make sure you drink a lot of water."

clemente replied: "i have moderate acne and blemishes around my face, but they're starting to fade...well...i use cetaphil gentle cleanser... work's great! then use a mild moisturizer or sunblock! i use it twice a day!.... morning and evening!"

oo_siouxsie_oo replied: "Apple cider vinegar on some cotton wool used as a toner can work pretty well, it smells horrible and can sting a bit though. If you want to try it you might want to start with it diluted1:1 with water to see how your skin reacts. Google apple cider vinegar and acne for more info."
